Sthira Privacy Policy
Effective 5 August 2026
Who I am
Sthira is made by Vishwas Mukund, an independent developer. There is no company and no team. This policy explains what the app touches and where it goes.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in the app is stored locally and mirrored through your own iCloud account so it appears on your other devices — the practices you save, your streak, days practised, minutes held, and your settings.
This moves between your devices through Apple's iCloud, which I cannot read. It is never sent to me or to any server I control. Turn iCloud off and the app keeps working; it simply stops syncing.
Analytics
Sthira uses PostHog for anonymous product analytics, so I can see which features people actually use. No name, email or account is attached to any of it.
| What is recorded | Why |
|---|---|
| That a practice started or finished | Whether people finish sessions or abandon them |
| Its shape — number of phases, rounds, total seconds | Which practice types matter |
| App opened, app installed | Whether people come back |
| Unlock screen opened, and the purchase outcome | Whether the paywall is placed badly |
| Device model, OS version, app version, coarse region, and a random identifier | Reproducing bugs and knowing which OS versions to support |
The identifier is generated on your device, is not linked to your Apple Account, name or email, and cannot be used to contact you. Analytics are switched off entirely in TestFlight and development builds.
What is never collected: the names or contents of your practices, your streak, your history, your location, contacts, health data, or anything from other apps.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is handled entirely by Apple. I never see your payment details — only whether this Apple Account owns the unlock, which the app reads from the receipt on your own device.
Children
Sthira is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
- Stop syncing — turn iCloud Drive off for Sthira in your device settings. Everything stays local.
- Delete everything — deleting the app removes all local data. To clear the synced copy too, delete Sthira's data from iCloud in your device settings.
- Ask me — email and I'll tell you what analytics events exist for your device's random identifier, or delete them, free and without needing a reason.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the date above changes and the change is noted in the app's release notes. I will not start collecting something new and quietly leave this page alone.
